Mirline Dort: Born in Haiti in 1986, Mirline grew up as the eldest of four children in a close-knit household with her mother and stepfather, whom she gratefully calls her dad. From her biological father’s side, she is the youngest of 15 siblings. Her life took a dramatic turn at the age of 12 when her family immigrated to the United States, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. Central to her story are four foundational pillars: faith, community, education, and family.

A combat veteran with eight years of service in the United States Army, Mirline has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to public service, continuing her career for more than a decade after her military tenure. She holds an associate’s degree in Surgical Technology, a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and a master’s in Criminal Justice Management. Her dedication to protecting the homeland is not just a job but a profound passion.

Though her work often requires her to be stationed in remote locations, Mirline always makes time for her family and loved ones. In her downtime, she loves traveling to new destinations, going for brisk jogs, hiking through scenic landscapes, and relaxing with a good book.
